The Service offers paid features consisting of Genesis Core (virtual currency) and virtual items purchasable with Genesis Core. Article 10: Withdrawal of Offer (Cancellation) and Refunds
Your rights to cancel a purchase and receive a refund depend on your location and the applicable law, as summarized below.
Korean Users
Under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래법 제17조), you have the right to withdraw your purchase offer within 7 days of the purchase date. However, this right does not apply to digital content where you have already commenced use or consumption, provided the Company has disclosed this limitation and obtained your consent prior to purchase. By completing a Genesis Core purchase, you acknowledge that Genesis Core becomes immediately usable upon delivery and you expressly consent to the limitation of your withdrawal right upon use.
EU / EEA Users
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. This right does not apply to digital content that has begun to be performed (delivered and made available) with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. By completing a Genesis Core purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of Genesis Core and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal upon delivery.
If you change your mind before Genesis Core has been delivered or used, please contact focusroyale@leapsignal.net within 14 days of purchase.
All Users — Refund Conditions
| Situation | Refund Availability |
|---|---|
| Genesis Core has not yet been used | Refund may be available subject to Platform policy and applicable law |
| Genesis Core has been partially or fully used | No refund for used portion |
| Virtual item has been equipped or consumed | No refund |
| Cancellation period has expired | No refund (except where mandatory law applies) |
| Defect or error attributable to the Company | Full refund |
All refund requests must be submitted through the Platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) using the Platform's standard refund mechanism, as the Company does not directly process payments. For refunds due to a Company-attributable defect, contact focusroyale@leapsignal.net and the Company will coordinate with the Platform or issue a direct credit as appropriate.
The Content Industry Promotion Act (콘텐츠산업 진흥법 제27조) applies to Korean users and may provide additional remedies in cases of content defects.
Article 11: Virtual Currency and Virtual Items
Genesis Core is a virtual currency that exists solely within the Service. The following restrictions and conditions apply:
| Condition | Detail |
|---|---|
| No real-world value | Genesis Core has no monetary value outside the Service and cannot be exchanged for real-world currency, goods, or services. |
| Non-transferable | Genesis Core may not be transferred, sold, gifted, or traded between users. Any such transfer is void. |
| License, not ownership | Purchasing Genesis Core or virtual items grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them within the Service. No ownership interest is transferred. |
| Service termination | In the event the Service is discontinued, the Company will provide at least 30 days' prior notice and will publish guidance on how users may seek a refund for unused Genesis Core balances. |
| Account termination | Upon termination of a user's account (whether voluntary or for breach), any remaining Genesis Core balance will be forfeited without refund, subject to mandatory applicable law. |
If the Company offers any randomized (probability-based) virtual item mechanisms in the future, the probability rates of all outcomes will be publicly disclosed within the Service in compliance with the Korean Game Industry Promotion Act (게임산업법 제32조의7).
Article 12: Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to software code, design, graphics, music, sound effects, text, logos, and game mechanics, are owned by or licensed to the Company. Nothing in these Terms grants users any ownership of Company intellectual property.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
The following acts are strictly prohibited without the Company's prior written consent:
- Reproducing, distributing, or publicly displaying any portion of the Service
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
- Creating derivative works based on the Service
- Using the Service for any commercial purpose
- Removing or altering any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Users retain ownership of the content they create within the Service (such as category names and to-do items). By creating such content, users grant the Company a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.
Article 13: User Obligations
Users must comply with all applicable laws and these Terms. In particular, users must not:
- Misappropriate or impersonate another person's identity or account
- Engage in hacking, cheating, exploiting bugs, or any unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users' enjoyment of the Service
- Post, transmit, or distribute illegal, harmful, offensive, defamatory, or infringing content
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without the Company's prior written consent
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
- Engage in automated scraping, crawling, or data harvesting of the Service
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
Users are solely responsible for maintaining the security of their account and for all activities that occur under their account.
Article 14: User-Generated Content (UGC)
User-generated content within the Service includes nicknames, category names, to-do item titles and descriptions, and any other text or data that users input into the Service ("UGC").
Users retain all ownership rights in their UGC. By submitting UGC to the Service, users grant the Company a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display, process, and transmit the UGC solely for the purpose of providing and operating the Service.
The Company reserves the right to remove, modify, or restrict access to UGC that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party, without prior notice.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their UGC does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims arising from UGC they submit.
Article 15: Age Restriction
The Service is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older. By registering for the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old.
Age verification is performed by self-declaration of date of birth during the registration process. The Company does not independently verify users' ages.
The 16-year minimum age is set to align with data protection requirements under the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA, 개인정보 보호법 제22조의2), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR Article 8), and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). These laws impose heightened requirements on the processing of personal data of children below various age thresholds (13 in the US, 13–16 in the EU depending on member state, 14 in Korea). By setting a uniform age of 16, the Service avoids the complexity of jurisdiction-specific parental consent flows.
If the Company discovers that a user is under 16, the Company will promptly suspend the account and delete associated personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. If you believe a user under 16 is using the Service, please notify us at focusroyale@leapsignal.net.
Article 16: Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
The Company is not liable for service interruptions or failures arising from:
- Natural disasters, acts of God, or other force majeure events
- Acts or omissions of third-party service providers (including Platforms, cloud infrastructure, and payment processors)
- Circumstances attributable to the user (including equipment failure, loss of internet connectivity, or use contrary to instructions)
- Scheduled or emergency maintenance
Important limitation: Nothing in this Article limits or excludes the Company's liability for losses caused by the Company's own willful misconduct or gross negligence. Under Korean law (약관규제법 제7조) and EU consumer protection law (EU Unfair Contract Terms Directive 93/13/EEC), disclaimers that attempt to exclude liability for intentional or grossly negligent acts are invalid. Such provisions in these Terms are void to the extent they conflict with mandatory applicable law.
Free features of the Service are provided with no guarantee of continued availability. Paid features are subject to the refund provisions of Article 10.
Article 17: Limitation of Liability and Damages
Where the Company or a user causes damage to the other party through willful misconduct or negligence, the responsible party shall compensate the other party for direct losses caused thereby.
Subject to mandatory applicable law, the Company's liability to any user shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by the user to the Company in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) the equivalent of USD 50.
The Company shall not be liable for: (a) loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities; (b) indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; or (c) damages arising from a user's reliance on the Service for any purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Users who violate these Terms or applicable law and thereby cause damage to the Company or to other users shall be liable for all resulting losses.
The limitations in this Article do not apply to: (i) the Company's liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence; (ii) liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law in the user's jurisdiction; or (iii) liability for death or personal injury caused by the Company's negligence.
Article 18: Termination and Account Deletion
Users may terminate their account and delete their data at any time by using the account deletion feature within the Service (Settings > Account > Delete Account) or by sending a deletion request to focusroyale@leapsignal.net.
Upon account deletion:
- The user's personal data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with the Privacy Policy, except for data the Company is required to retain by law.
- All Genesis Core balances and virtual items will be permanently forfeited without refund, subject to mandatory applicable law.
- User-generated content may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form.
The Company may terminate or suspend a user's account for material breach of these Terms following the procedures set out in Article 8. The Company may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for an extended period, with prior notice to the user where contact information is available.
Users whose accounts have been terminated for breach of these Terms may be prohibited from re-registering for the Service.
Account termination takes effect immediately upon confirmation, except where a notice period is required by applicable law.
Note: Apple requires that all apps offer in-app account deletion (Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v)).
Article 19: Privacy and Personal Data Protection
The collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your personal data is governed by the Company's Privacy Policy, which is a separate document and forms an integral part of your agreement with the Company.
The Privacy Policy is available at:
- Within the Service: Settings > Privacy
- On the website: https://focusroyale.leapsignal.net/en/privacy
The Privacy Policy complies with the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), among other applicable data protection laws.
Article 20: Dispute Resolution
The Company and users agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service through good-faith negotiation. To initiate a dispute, contact us at focusroyale@leapsignal.net with a description of the issue.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, the following applies:
| User Location | Forum |
|---|---|
| Republic of Korea | Courts of the Republic of Korea (jurisdiction determined by the Korean Civil Procedure Act); Korean Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee (한국전자거래분쟁조정위원회) and Consumer Dispute Mediation Committee (소비자분쟁조정위원회) are available for non-binding mediation. |
| European Union / EEA | Courts of the Republic of Korea, subject to any mandatory consumer protection forum rules in the user's member state. EU users may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr as required by EU ODR Regulation (EU) 524/2013. |
| All other jurisdictions | Courts of the Republic of Korea, subject to any mandatory forum rules under applicable local consumer protection law. |
Nothing in this Article limits any mandatory rights that users have under the consumer protection laws of their jurisdiction to bring a claim before a court or regulatory body in that jurisdiction.
Article 21: Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
However, if you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction that has mandatory consumer protection laws that cannot be derogated from by choice of law, those mandatory provisions will apply to you notwithstanding the Korean law choice above. In particular:
- EU / EEA users: Mandatory protections under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the EU Digital Content Directive (2019/770/EU), the EU Unfair Contract Terms Directive (93/13/EEC), and any implementing legislation in your member state apply to you and are not displaced by these Terms.
- US users: Applicable state consumer protection laws (including but not limited to California Consumer Protection Law) apply to you where they cannot be waived by agreement.
- All users: Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under mandatory applicable law that cannot be excluded or restricted by agreement.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply to these Terms.
Article 22: Effective Date and Supplementary Provisions
These Terms take effect on March 3, 2026.
These Terms supersede and replace all prior terms of service or user agreements relating to the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
The failure of the Company to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
